Fundamentals of Engineering Exam and Review Course
About the Exam
The Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Examination is available to current Mines seniors in ABET-accredited engineering programs (including Engineering Physics) who are within 12 months of receiving their bachelor’s degree. Those who complete both the exam and their engineering degree program successfully are issued an Engineer Intern certification by the Colorado State Board of Architects, Professional Engineers and Professional Land Surveyors.
Graduate students may also take the exam.
About the Review Course
A ten-session FE review course is offered on campus during the fall and spring semesters. This course is free for current Mines seniors and full-time graduate students. Others are welcome to attend the course for a tax-deductible fee of $250.
Each session meets on a Wednesday evening between 7 and 9 p.m. and features a topic which is covered on the exam. This course is not intended to replace individual study and preparation for the exam; rather, it is a review/reminder of the most important aspects of each exam topic.
